As Prince William and Kate Middleton inch closer and closer to their 15th wedding anniversary, more stories regarding the specifics of their wedding day continue to come to light, with the latest update coming from Middleton's own brother, James.
In James's new memoir, Meet Ella: The Dog Who Saved My Life—he revealed that William and Kate's buttoned-up Westminster Abbey wedding on April 29, 2011, was followed up with a lively, tropical after-party. Upon taking his dog, Ella, for a walk on the property's "garden to potter around," he found an oasis before him.
"There, a replica of Basil's Bar in Mustique—a small private island in the Grenadines and a holiday spot the family had visited many times—has been set up," James wrote. He further described Basil's Bar as "social heart of the island," and said that celebrities like Jon Bon Jovi and Mick Jagger went to the "unassuming little venue" to put on performances.
"Now a perfect facsimile of it has been built in the grounds of the Goring Hotel so wedding guests can imagine themselves on the edge of the Caribbean while actually in the middle of a London garden," James wrote.

The owner of Basil Bar—who is named Basil—was so beloved by the Middletons that they were "one of the wedding guests." And as for James's dog, Ella "managed to visit the bar before any of the other guests."
James kept the rest of the details for the Caribbean-themed after-party to himself, but photos from the special day showed that Kate switched out of her white lace Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding dress into a flirty satin ballgown for the after party, also by McQueen.
Previously revealed details about the after-party confirmed that Ellie Goulding performed at Buckingham Palace, as well as the layout of the venue. A guest told the Telegraph, "there was a huge bar in the middle of the room, lots of sofas for everyone to lounge on when they weren’t on the dance floor, and a stage for the band."
